What is a Fish Extender Exchange?

I've never done one before, but have read on the Dis Boards about it. You hang what they call a Fish Extender (since it hangs on the Fish near the door and extends it with more room to put things). It seems that people sign up for this and you will deliver small gifts to each person participating....putting it in their Fish Extender!
I haven't figured out how to post a pic here yet...but I will!

OK. This sounds fun. I'm even looking online for a custom fish extender. I'm not the crafty type. So... what type of things do we buy? Is there a price guide. I have ideas but I don't know if I'm going totally overboard.

Hey, so far it doesn't seem like we are going to have a price range. I've seen people go WAY overboard (of course everyone appreciated it!). I had a lot of great ideas, but I've got to cut down on my spending.
As for things to put in there....really anything goes!!! Candy, pirate things, things for the little kids, teens, adults.

I think I'm going to make ours (with the help of a neighbor). I'll try to post a pic when finished. Heather -- will you post a master list of those participating?

Hey! Yep, I've got one going here. I've got to update it though, we've had a few people not able to go on the cruise, and some new cruisers!! T
