Disney Cruise 5/19/05 Check out day

Thursday May 19, 2005 Check Out Day

Well, today is the day we have dreaded forever. Its our day to leave the ship. crying.gif If you had early dinner like we did, you had to be to breakfast at 6:45am. We decided to forget about breakfast and sleep in. We could get something on the way home.

We woke up around 7:30am, and took our time waking up. We looked outside and saw we were in port already. Actually, Brandon woke up around 6am or so, and saw us pulling into port.

All NON US citizens were supposed to check in around 7am. Well at 8am they called for Two different passengers to come to the check in area. We couldn't be cleared to leave until ALL Non US citizens checked in. We hung out in our room until 8am, when all passengers were supposed to be out of the cabins. We FINALLY saw dolphins!!! We were out on our verandah, just enjoying a few minutes more and we spotted a few dolphins!! I love dolphins just as much as I love Disney. I was so happy!! cloud.bmp We called family members to let them know we were back and had a great time, and then headed down to exit the ship.

It was very surprising how simple and quick this whole process is. We got in a line and headed back into the port, there were porters waiting in line asking who needed help. We got a really nice lady who asked what color our tags were, and what stateroom we had. You see, Disney not only makes different colored sections, but they go one step futher and put your bags in order by stateroom #. (I wish I had taken pictures of all this for my scrapbooking...but it only took just a couple of minutes and I didnt even get to think about it!)

Our porter quickly found our 4 suitecases and got us in line to show our Birth Certificates and ID and our US imigration paperwork. All of this took less than 5 minutes total. So quick that I forgot to take pictures of all our suitcases for my scrapbooking! Since our truck was parked right out front, we were in our car and ready to go not 10 minutes from leaving the ship!

The only thing that helped the depression was knowing we were booked for another cruise in two years. We waved goodbye to the Wonder and drove off.

While driving we started talking and since it was only 8:30 am we decided to...... head to the Magic Kingdom for the afternoon!!! We just weren't ready to say good bye to the Disney Magic!! We got breakfast at McDonalds on Disney Property (thanks to a wrong turn off...LOL) The parks weren't that busy, and we were able to do some of the things we didn't get to do last week before the cruise.

All in all, this trip was SOOO needed, one of our best vacations yet! I was a bit nervous going on this Cruise with just me and Brandon (even though I never admitted it to anyone) but we were just FINE!!! Other than Brandon losing the remote control one night (I had to pull the couch all the way out, dump it over and still had trouble finding it STUCK IN THE COUCH), and the smokers next door, I can't think of one bad moment on the ship. Everything was great, and we didn't rush rush rush to get it all in. We did as much as we wanted, but made sure to make PLENTY of time to relax!!! This will be a trip neither one of us will forget, and we have TONS of pictures to help us remember every moment of it!!!

How many days until May 2007????? angel_not.gif

Welcome
