The plan was to order room service (filled out the card last night and put it on our door) and use that as a wake up call for 8am. I had my spa appointment at 10am, and was supposed to be there 10 minutes early. I woke up at 9am! AUGH! It felt so good to sleep in though, really!!! I slept like a baby!! Best sleep I’ve had in a while!! Turns out I didn’t mark a time on the room service card, they called at 9:15 and I just cancelled it. We ran up to Beach Blanket Buffet to eat breakfast, though neither one of us was really hungry.

We then headed to Aloft (the teen club) where the 10-12 year olds were meeting. (the teens were not allowed in until after 12pm). I check Brandon in for his fist club experience, and headed right downstairs to the Spa. I filled out the paper work, and then was taken in. I didn’t actually go into the spa area as it turns out. This was a manicure and pedicure with some massage..so we went into the beauty parlor part of the spa. I kept the same lady for both (Carrie from the USA I think was her name). She was really nice, and easy to talk to, but quiet at the right times! It felt great to have my hands massaged (especially my bad hand). I picked out a bright PINK polish for my hands and feet. The manicure lasted about 45 minutes. The pedicure about 50 minutes. Believe it or not, this was my first pedicure...it was fabulous, especially with the added massage!!

I went back upstairs to check on Brandon, and he waved his hands at me and told me to go away! LOL!!! FINE THEN!!!! So I went back to the room to change, put out the service room sign, and grab my bag to go by the adult pool. When I got to the pool I realized I forgot my towel, and couldn’t find the hidden stash around the pool. So I was going to go back to the room. For some reason I went UP instead of DOWN and ran right into Brandon and the kids heading out to Lunch. He wanted to check out of the clubs now. I had to go to Parrot Cay to check him out from there. We went back to the room so Bran could change, and then down to the Goofy Pool. We found two chairs, and he went swimming while I went in search of Lunch at Pluto’s. We both got chicken tenders, and I got a frozen margarita! The sun was only out a few minutes here and there, which really upset me! I had DREAMED of laying out in the sun by the pool on the cruise!!

Brandon saw that the Jacuzzi was empty, so I took my drink and we headed in there. A few minutes later a lady walked in...turned out to be Suzanne!! So we chatted for a bit, and her girls/neices came and went. We talked about how wonderful the cruise was so far, and how much fun we all were having!!! Since it was still cloudy and I wasn’t going to get any sun, I decided it was time to head onto Nassau. We went back to the room and got changed around 1:30pm, and headed down to deck 1 to exit the ship.

It seems to be a bit different than it was when I first went there in 2001. We walked through the festival Place and out the other side.

I picked up a map and we were on our way to find the Pirate Museum. I went to the gift shop when I was here before, and we wanted to walk through this time and get something for us to wear for Pirate Night on the ship the next night. After walking by at least 15 women asking me “Lady, want your hair braided???” we found Del Sol and Brandon bought a shirt from them. The shirts turn colored when out in the sun. Off we go in search of the Pirate Museum again. It starts to rain...GREAT. After passing a few more women/children insisting we buy a walking turtle, we turn onto a street that takes us to our treasure...the Pirate Museum. IT WAS CLOSED!!! In fact, I noticed that quite a few shops were closed today. I was confused and thought it was Sunday and figured that was why. Later on our table mates told us it was Mith Monday, a once a year holiday on the island and most shops were closed because of this.

Well, we headed back to the ship, and just relaxed in our room. We ordered two Mickey Bars and the All Hands On Deck cheese and cracker tray. The Mickey Bars are not on the menu..but thanks to the Dis Boards I knew that we could still order them! YUMMY!!!! The cracker tray was NASTY, and I love cheese and crackers. Oh well, nothing can compare to a mickey bar anyways!

We sat out on the verandah to eat and people watch. I also decided it was a good time to update my journal! I look down and who do I see just getting off the ship?? YippySkippy and family! I yell out to them, and they see us!! LOL We talk/yell for a few minutes and they take a picture of us and then headed on to see what they could buy!

I was feeling tired, and fell asleep on the verandah, then woke up and moved inside. Brandon woke me up at 5pm, and we had to rush to get ready for dinner, it was dress up night, and I wanted to get our pictures taken with the characters and you needed to be in line EARLY for that!!! We get in line with Goofy all dressed up and take our picture just before he heads out!

While waiting in line to get our pictures taken with a back drop, we see Yippyskipy and family.

 I then realize I FORGOT MY LIPSTICK! AUGH! She doesn’t have any...and offered me some of her lipstick off of her lips! She used her fingers and gave me some...TOO FUNNY!!! Bran and I took our pictures, and then we had the kids take pictures together!! I WISH I had bought this picture...they looked so cute..I just didn’t have the $$$ to get it at the end of the trip! I hope they did and can copy it for me!!! Off to another back drop picture which only had a 5 minute wait. The line for Mickey and Minnie were way too long!!! I knew they’d be back out at the end of our dinner, so we headed off to Animators Pallet just a few minutes late!

Once again, we felt very welcomed by our table mates, and we all enjoyed a great dinner!! Brandon got a little upset stomach from all the excitement of the day. He just sat back and relaxed for a bit. Eventually he felt better and ate some dinner. The “light” show here was awesome. Everything starts out black and white, and throughout the evening the pictures on the wall become colored!!

Even the waiters get in the act! They start off with black and white vests, and change them around to the colored ones when all the pictures are colored!! I think I had chicken and potatoes for dinner, with salad and no desert. I wanted to hurry and get inline for Mickey and Minnie. Of course the kids got their main course and desert before us. Take a WILD guess what my son ate for dinner all but one night????? Any takers??? Chicken Finger and fries! And a mickey bar for desert!! We made plans to meet up with our table mates for some swimming around 8:30pm. We got our pictures taken with Minnie and then Mickey. The assembly line of CMs there to assist us was incredible!!! There were about 5-7 CM just waiting in line to hold any of your belongings and to take pictures with your own cameras. First you got a picture with Minnie, and then moved on to take a Picture with Mickey. The CM moved with us from Minnie to Mickey. He was great!! He says its the best way to keep things moving and get everyone in to see the characters!!

Just before 8:30 we had a call to tell us to head to the pool! We met them down there, Ed, the kids and the Grandparents. We talked for a bit, and Ed said he’d watch the kids if I wanted to wonder around! COOL!!

I went shopping, and ran into YippySkippy and her DH. Patrick was in the kids clubs. I got a good picture of Belle as she was heading up the stairs!   

We walked over to shutters together to find and look at our pictures. I stacked my pictures and decided to wait before picking any out to buy that night.

I headed back to the pool to get Bran, and ended up talking some more. Lisa had come down now, she had also been shopping! LOL At about 9:45pm we started moving out to sea again. The ship was moving MUCH slower than the night before, since we didn’t have far to travel to Castaway Cay. At 10pm when the pools closed we headed back to our room. Of course we had to order room service! Cookies and Milk and one Mickey Bar for Brandon.

Turndown Service:

 I went out on the verandah to write and wait for our snack. I also placed a new order for room service for tomorrow morning for 7-730am for our breakfast. Since we’d be at Castaway Cay and able to get off the ship at 8:30am, I didn’t want to bother with going down for breakfast. I wrote in my journal some more after our snacks arrived, and then remembered I’d better write out all my postcards to be mailed from castaway cay!! Off to bed around 11:30pm.
