SUNDAY MAY 24th Our first Day at Sea

We were supposed to do the Character breakfast this morning, but we had decided last night to just sleep in. Well, Ed got up at 6:45am!! And that woke me up. We sat on the verandah for awhile and decided to just eat at Topsiders Buffet. I asked Brandon if we wanted to do the character breakfast and he mumbled a “NO” so we let him sleep and went to eat. We had some fruit and bread items. It was raining outside so we sat inside to eat. After we ate we went to collect our pictures at Shutters. We bought a package and took our pictures to the room. We rested a bit and decided what to do. Brandon had wanted us to wake him up so he could be in the Teen Club “The Stack” by 11am. So we took him up to topsiders so he could eat.

 He took off to The Stack. Ed and I were trying to decide what to do next when he said, hey….aren’t we supposed to be somewhere? OPPS…we had signed up for the Tequila and Margarita tasting! We had just enough time to get there! (although we forgot our tickets...it was ok, they were able to look us upin the system)

On the way we saw Jiminy Cricket out with no line for pictures, so we had our pictures taken with him.

We saw poppins and peeweemom there as well (from the disboards). We sat with Churchlady and her hubby (I’m SO bad with names). It was fun sitting with them. I didn’t do so well on my tasting. For some reason the Alchohol just wasn’t sitting well with me. So I just sipped a few, instead of doing shots.

 After the tasting we sat and talked for a bit. Then it was time to head up to get ready for Formal Night. We were not going to go to dinner this night, because we didn’t want to spend the money on clothes for Formal Night. Well, mom let me use one of her dresses, and Ed had things already. We just bought new pants and a shirt and tie for Bran and we were set. I’m SO glad we did. We got some great family pictures!! (I will post our professional pictures at a later date, once they are scanned in!!)

Somehow we missed the characters dressed up…they weren’t out when we were going to and from dinner. Tonight our dinner we ate in Parrot Cay. At first I wasn’t happy we were dressing up to go there, but it really wasn’t so bad. I mean, really, why stress over not eating in the more fancier dinning room?? We still had a great time!!!

 Brandon had his usual…steak, steak fries, and a mickey bar for dessert. He did have fruit for his appetizer.

The meal tonight was the Golden Mickey’s menu. I had the cheese suffle and Ed had scallops for our appetizers.

Ed and I both got the baked chicken for dinner, I had a baked potato and he had rice.

 For dessert I was good and had the Sugar Free Chocolate Ice Cream.

Ed had the Golden Mickey Chocolate cake.

After dinner, we looked at shutters photos again, and headed to the room to change into more comfortable clothes. Oh, first…Ed and I took a few more pictures while Brandon went to the room to change. We all headed to see the show of the evening, Golden Mickey’s. It was a great show that we all enjoyed.

Brandon took off after the show to go to the Stack. They got a free bag, and he always kept  his bathing suit in it. Brandon really enjoyed going to the Stack every day! They had quite a few things going on that he enjoyed. If I can get him to type of some type of report I'll post it here. I just know that it was such a great experience for Brandon!!

Ed and I headed to see John Charles perform. The show was great, and we had a fun time. On my first Disney Cruise, I never made it to any of the adult clubs or shows. So it was nice to have someone to do so with.

After the show, we had to get all our FE gift bags ready for delivery! It took us quite awhile, but we got it all done. We did one floor at a time. Near the end we got hungry and ordered room service! Grilled cheese for me, and cheeseburger and fries for Ed. We finished delivering the FE’s and went to sleep. I didn’t even hear Brandon come in tonight!! I got up at one point, started worrying about him, and had to go look at his bed to make sure he was back! Whew! He was sleeping soundly thank goodness!
