Planning Our First Disney Cruise

Our Pre-Cruise Adventure

My son and I have been planning our first Disney Cruise for over two years now! We had planned to cruise 5/16/04 on the four day Wonder, but had to change our plans. We are now booked for our four day Wonder cruise for 5/15/05!!! We are very excited about our first Disney Cruise!! We started out in a outside stateroom with a porthole. After reseraching on the DisBoards and reading the Passpoter, I found out that there are only four rooms on the ship that are a "partially blocked verandah" for a cheaper rate!! Boy are we in luck!! It is available for our sailing!!!





**UPDATE 11/9/04: I received a complimentary upgrade on our cabin today!! We are now in a full Cat 5 cabin!! #7070 No obstructed view from our Verandah now!

I can't wait for the day when I can sit by the pool or on my verandah and enjoy a nice cold margarita and read a great book!!

2/17/05 - I recieved these awsome shirts for me and Brandon today! A good friend from one of my Disney Boards sent these to us as part of a Valentines Shuffle gift. We were so excited to get them, and we can't wait to wear them onboard the Disney Wonder!!

2/27/05 - Well, I just emailed our TA (travel agent) to pay off the rest of our cruise!! The final payment was due 3/10/05, and I decided to get it done and over with a few days early!! We have 77 days left now, and boy do we have some SHOPPING to do!!!

3/7/05 - Well, this weekend I did a little bit of shopping for the cruise. I got Brandon a bathing suit and hat from the Disney store. I ordered from www.disneydirect.com a mickey cruise shirt for Brandon, while I ordered a "cruisin'" outfit for me. My mother made me a very cute beach bag this weekend also! We've still got tons of shopping to do...but at least we got a start!

4/5/05 - 40 days until we are cruisin'!!!! I haven't done too much this past month for our cruise! I've got to get working in it soon!! I'm typing up my list tonight and checking off everything I have so far!! I've ordered a memory card and rechargeable battery for my digital camera. I should have enough space to take 480 pictures...for a 4 night cruise and 2 day stay at Disney that *should* be enough! At least I hope it is!! Haha!

4/28/05 - Only 17 more days until we are cruisin' and 15 until we are ON VACATION!!!! Its almost time to pull out the suitcaises!! I've got my dress. Theres not much more to do except pack everything. I've got to wait until that week to do the laundry, since most of the stuff we are already wearing since its like summer here anyways.

5/2/05 - My cruise Documents finally came in today!!! Woo Hoo!!!! And I've pretty much got them filled out already! Haha!!! I"ve read through all the paperwork,and I'm ready to go!!!!!!!!! Only 13 days until we are crusin'!!!! I finally got Brandons semi-formal outfit, and should have enough clothes now for the both of us to last for our vacation. Only 11 days until we are at DISNEY WORLD!!

5/8/05 - Happy Mothers Day!!! One week from today and we'll be driving to the port, and getting on the Wonder!!!! There is still so much to do, though. I've done TONS-O-Laundry this weekend. I made the magnets for our Door last night. I've got all my lists out of things I need to do and pack, so this week will be spent checking off all those lists!!

5/20/05 - We are back from our WONDERful cruise!!! We had such a great time!!! Met some great friends, and took LOTS of pictures!!! Watch my Cruise Trip Reports page for details and TONS of pictures from our FIRST DISNEY CRUISE!!!

Castaway Cay
